SEMH Teaching Assistant - Marple

Job description

The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant who can build excellent working relationships and is proactive. The role will start after October half term and will till the end of the academic year. 

The pupil is currently in Year 2 and the head teacher has decided to provide the child with a 1-1 Teaching Assistant to aid progression.

Team Teach training would be desirable to deescalate any potential flare up before this occurs. Experience dealing with challenging behaviour is a must.

To be considered for the position you must:

  • Be able to show patience and empathy
  • Experience supporting children with very challenging behaviour
  • Youth work/PRU experience
