Teaching Assistant - SEMH

Teaching Personnel are working with a friendly and successful education provision supporting vulnerable children aged 11 – 16 years.

In their recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded as ‘Good’ and form a strong multi site, therapeutic approach which provides education for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, challenging behaviours and other associated learning and attachment-based needs.

The right candidate will have:

• Good GCSEs in English and Maths as a minimum.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH difficulties and a variety of SEND.
• Experience facilitating and delivering interventions, small group sessions and 1:1 sessions.
• The ability/willing to support and/or deliver a variety of subjects.
• Strong and consistent classroom and behaviour management skills and the ability to work with challenging pupils with a wide range of emotional- and attachment-needs.
• Emotional resilience and be motivated by challenge.
• A passion to make a real difference to the education and lives of young people.
