To work under direct supervision of teaching staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Working predominantly with small groups of children with EBD/BESD, you will: *Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning *Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs *To work with individuals or groups of children under the direction of the class teacher *Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour, preparing individual Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans. You must have proven experience working with children, either in Mainstream or SEN school. Applicants may also be considered with voluntary or 'life experience' within the Special Needs field.
