SEMH Teaching Assistant

Secondary school (FY7)

ASAP start date

Specialist in SEMH

A secondary school in Blackpool are seeking a Teaching Assistant or Teaching Assistants who have specialisms in supporting pupils with SEMH.

The school are specifically recruiting for 2 pupils who are transferring, and require 1:1 support from an individual(s) who can commit to a long-term, nurturing and engaging post.

The successful individual/s will:

  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide required and additional support to pupils
  • Provide intervention support to pupils, including pupils with SEND and SEMH
  • Provide 1:1 support for SEMH

The ideal applicant/s will have:

  • Some experience of working with KS3/4, and experience in supporting pupils with additional needs
  • A passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
  • Creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
