Learning Support Assistant – SEN Secondary Schools
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Agency: Teaching Personnel
Location: Blackpool
Start: ASAP / Ongoing
Hours: Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in a range of Secondary schools across The Fylde Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs.

About the Role

  • Support students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access learning.
  • Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
  • Provide behavioural and pastoral support where required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
