The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and committed individual to join a specialist secondary school provision in Poole as a Part-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant.
This vital role involves supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 who face a range of social, emotional and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and attachment or detachment disorders.

Your Role Will Include

Supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis to help them access the curriculum

Assisting in managing challenging behaviour using trauma-informed strategies

Creating a calm and structured learning space to reduce anxiety and increase engagement
-
Encouraging personal development and emotional regulation
-
Collaborating with teachers, therapists and support staff to ensure consistent care

Experience working with children or young people, particularly with SEN or SEMH

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
