Here at Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in Shalford to work in a local special educational needs school. The school caters for boys aged 7-11 years who have social emotional and mental health difficulties. The school provides drama therapy to aid pupil’s communication skills and sociability. They also offer special music classes to support coordination skills and memory. The role involves supporting pupils 1:1 in Maths and English sessions tailored to their needs. The pupils will be working at a lower level to the national curriculum in all subjects taught. This is a highly rewarding role, yet challenging.

Ideal Candidates:

• Experience with children with social emotional and mental health difficulties (not essential)

• A background in Music, Drama and Dance is desirable

• Patient and calm under stressful situations
