SEMH Teaching Assistant
Devizes | Term-Time | September 2025 Start (Early Start Possible)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and behavioural challenges?

A rewarding opportunity awaits at a specialist school in Devizes for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a skilled and supportive team.

This is a part-time role beginning in September 2025, with the option for an early start. Working hours are 8.30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

The school supports pupils aged 7 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and behavioural barriers to learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEMH, ASC, or challenging behaviour

  • Be calm, consistent, and empathetic in their approach

  • Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Be committed to creating a safe and positive learning space

  • Hold relevant experience or qualifications (not essential, but desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
