Are you looking to make a positive impact on the future of children with Special Educational Needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Fully Qualified Teacher to work with children with a variety of Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in one of our SEN Schools in Newcastle (NE3).
As a SEMH Teacher you will be leading classes in Math’s and P.E, so knowledge of the curriculum and previous experience teaching Math’s is essential. You will be working with young people with a variety of additional needs including:
- ADHD
- ASC
- Challenging behaviour
- LAC (looked after children)
- Children who have come from vulnerable backgrounds
And therefore it is essential that you have the confidence and commitment to meet these challenges. Teaching Personnel can offer the successful candidate:
- Competitive pay rates GBP575 - GBP700 per week depending on experience, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
- Access to CPD courses
- A dedicated, on call service and consultant specific to your area
- Opportunity to complete a Team Teach qualification
To be considered for this role, please apply if you:
Essential:
- Are a Fully Qualified Teacher with experience of the Math’s / P.E curriculum
Desired
- Have experience teaching in a SEMH provision or challenging environment
- Have experience in Youth Work or care work environments
Furthermore, you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service or be happy to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.
