Are you passionate about supporting young people and eager to build a rewarding career in education?
A thriving, inclusive secondary academy in Chichester — known for its strong community values, exceptional facilities, and fully integrated SEND support — is looking for a motivated Secondary Cover Supervisor to become a valued part of their team.

This is the perfect opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced support staff who want hands‑on classroom experience within a positive, forward‑thinking school environment.

Why This School?

This large and well‑resourced academy offers:

  • A wide and engaging curriculum
  • Modern facilities and technology
  • A welcoming, supportive staff culture
  • High-quality SEND provision embedded across the school

You’ll be joining a school where every student is valued — and where your contribution will genuinely make a difference.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes of students aged 11–16 in the absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver pre‑prepared lesson plans to ensure learning continues smoothly
  • Support students in staying focused and engaged
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and calmly
  • Provide additional help to students with SEND when required

This role builds essential skills for anyone considering teacher training or future leadership responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Experience working with secondary‑aged students (school, tutoring, youth work, coaching etc.)
  • Confidence supporting students with additional needs
  • Strong communication and rapport‑building skills
  • A positive, adaptable approach in the classroom
  • A genuine passion for helping young people thrive

Hours & Benefits

  • Part-time and flexible working options
  • Term‑time only
  • 12.07% holiday pay
  • Competitive daily rates
  • Work in an Ofsted-rated “Good” school with excellent resources
  • Ongoing professional development through Teaching Personnel
  • Supportive guidance from experienced education consultants

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’re enthusiastic about shaping young minds and developing your own career in education, we’d love to hear from you!
