Make a Real Difference Supporting Young People in Behaviour Schools

Teaching Personnel are looking for confident, adaptable, and empathetic individuals to join two specialist schools in the Staffordshire area. You’ll be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs—helping them overcome barriers, manage behaviour, and re-engage with learning.

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential — we’re especially interested in those with transferable skills from roles such as sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care, or customer service.

Your Role:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Help implement behaviour plans and build strong, trusting relationships

  • De-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally

  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and external professionals

  • Promote attendance, engagement, and wellbeing across the school

We’re Looking For:

  • Confident communicators who can stay calm under pressure

  • People with transferable skills from education, youth work, care, or customer-facing roles

  • A resilient and patient approach when supporting challenging behaviour

  • A team player who genuinely wants to make a difference

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Why Join Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive daily pay, paid weekly

  • Long-term and temp-to-perm placements available

  • Access to training and ongoing support from your consultant

  • A rewarding opportunity to positively impact young lives
