Behaviour Specialist / Pastoral Support Assistant – Staffordshire (ST11 & ST3)
Location: Staffordshire (ST11 and surrounding areas)
Pay: £90 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time and long-term opportunities available

Teaching Personnel are working with two specialist schools seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist / Pastoral Support Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or pastoral support who thrives on building relationships and making a real difference.
The Role:

Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis

Implement individual behaviour plans and support positive emotional regulation

De-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally

Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and external agencies to promote pupil wellbeing

Encourage engagement, attendance, and positive attitudes towards learning
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
-
Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs
-
A background in education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, or social care

Confidence managing behaviour and building trust with pupils
-
A calm, resilient, and consistent approach
-
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
