Social and Behavioural Teaching Assistant required for Salford, 2 form entry Primary School (M7).

I am currently working with a lovely, family orientated, warm and extremely welcoming primary school in the Salford area. This "Good" school provide a great support and service to the local community and it has been commented on by many who work there as to the great atmosphere it carries.

The school are looking for someone to come in and support a Reception aged boy on a 1:1 basis. The child displays signs of challenging behaviours and is in the process of being diagnosed with suspected Social, Emotional, Behavioural Needs due to his unstable and unfortunate upbringing/childhood.

The ideal person would have experience of working with children of a similar age or be able to transfer their skill set from an older age. They must be of a strong mentality and not be afraid to set strict boundaries and rules as the child will display challenging/aggressive behaviours at times. Ideally they would be Team Teach Trained.

The position is to start ASAP and would be on a long-term basis, more than likely for the rest of the academic year and potentially to go onto school contract next year.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
