Job description

Social and Behavioural Teaching Assistant required for Salford, 2 form entry Primary School (M7).

Opportunity for a long-term contract.

Working with social, emotional and challenging behaviours.

Challenging and rewarding position within a lovely school.

I am currently working with a lovely, family orientated, warm and extremely welcoming primary school in the Salford area. This "Good" school provide a great support and service to the local community and it has been commented on by many who work there as to the great atmosphere it carries.

The school are looking for someone to come in and support a Reception aged boy on a 1:1 basis. The child displays signs of challenging behaviours and is in the process of being diagnosed with suspected Social, Emotional, Behavioural Needs due to his unstable and unfortunate upbringing/childhood.

The ideal person would have experience of working with children of a similar age or be able to transfer their skill set from an older age. They must be of a strong mentality and not be afraid to set strict boundaries and rules as the child will display challenging/aggressive behaviours at times. Ideally they would be Team Teach Trained.

The position is to start ASAP and would be on a long-term basis, more than likely for the rest of the academic year and potentially to go onto school contract next year.

If you are Team Teach Trained, or willing to be put through the Team Teach training and have the relevant skills and experience, either within a school or from another environment, please call the office on 0161 242 1792 or email
