We’re currently recruiting passionate and experienced Cover Supervisors to work in one of our amazing SEMH secondary schools in the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, support students in their learning, and develop their career in education.


About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-set work to classes across a range of subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Supporting students with their tasks and encouraging engagement
  • Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders
  • Upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Build trusting relationships that foster emotional resilience and self esteem
  • Help students regulate emotions, engage in learning, and achieve in personal goals
  • Adapt learning materials to accordance to individual needs
  • Encourage positive social interactions and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment

This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills, a calm and professional approach, and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed.


✅ Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training
  • References covering the last 24 months
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting
