Secondary Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teaching Assistant to work within the support department of one of our client schools based in the South Tyneside area. The school itself is a mixed faith school of average size and prides itself on the welfare of its staff and students.

The Role:

• Full-time Teaching Assistant position
• Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in South Tyneside
• To start from ASAP but willing to wait for the right candidate 
• Supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Earn up to GBP320 per week, depending on the roles and responsibilities involved

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils aged 11-16 across a range of subject areas
• Providing small group intervention and 1:1 support for identified pupils
• Supporting the class teacher and ensuring they have the correct support within the classroom
• Aiding the support department and contributing towards new ideas and resources

To be considered for this role, it is important that you have some form of experience supporting children and young people previously. Any direct experience within a school setting is desirable, however not essential.
