Job Title: English Teacher

Location:

South East England, Surrey, Chertsey

Full-time or Part-time, working hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm

Job Duties:

The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons to students, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. They will create a positive learning environment, effectively manage classroom activities, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

A relevant Bachelor's degree in Education or English is required.

Experience:

Prior experience teaching English to students of varying levels and abilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, excellent classroom management abilities, and a proactive approach to teaching. Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent is desirable.

Working Conditions:

The English Teacher will work in a school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. They may be required to participate in extracurricular activities or parent-teacher meetings outside regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
