Secondary Teacher (QTS Required) – Primary Learning Needs
Location: BB9 8LF
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time Available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to support students working at a primary learning level within a secondary school environment in the BB9 8LF area.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils who require learning activities tailored to primary curriculum levels. The successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve their full potential through creative teaching and a nurturing approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons adapted to individual learning needs.
- Support students working below age-related expectations using primary-based teaching strategies.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and parents/carers.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Essential Requirements
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Mandatory
✅ Experience teaching within a UK school setting
✅ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✅ Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience working with SEND students.
- Knowledge of primary curriculum frameworks.
- Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs within a secondary setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
