Overview

We are looking for a passionate Secondary Teacher to join a supportive educational setting in Thrapston, working with students who benefit from a personalised and nurturing learning environment. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons while supporting students’ academic progress and wellbeing.

• Role: Secondary Teacher
• Location: Thrapston
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Employment Term: Permanent
• Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Work Location: On-site (School-based)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support student progress and achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with additional needs.
• Monitor student progress, assessment, and attainment.
• Support behaviour management and pastoral care.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and school development.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject area (or equivalent).
• QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• GCSE Maths, English, and Science (Grade 4/C or above).

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a school or education setting, ideally secondary.
• Understanding of alternative provision and supporting students with additional needs.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
