Secondary Supply Teaching - Winchester

Forest feel secondary school in Winchester is looking for more daily supply teachers to add to their current pool to provide supply cover whilst their own school teachers are not available.

This large oversubscribed and Ofsted Outstanding school is looking to increase the pool of teachers who are currently available to them during the school working week to offer supply for both emergency and planned absence, teachers who currently work there on supply absolutely love going to this school due to the friendly staff, well behaved students and comfortable cottage feel the school has, integrating well with the local community. This school based in Winchester is easily accessed by car from surrounding towns and cities, and a short commute from either Andover, Southampton or Basingstoke.

The school itself has excellent behaviour within their students, a great staff faculty with teachers who work there currently or who have previously worked there always happy to return to the school to provide cover as they know it will be a pleasant day for them.

The school have a need for teachers across the secondary curriculum however they are happy to have all teachers in to do general cover where specialists are not available. The school are also keen not to restrict you to only obtaining work with them and are happy for you to work with other schools in the local area.

This is an open role with no end date and the school are keen to secure trial days with multiple teachers across all subjects in order to build a strong pool of supply teachers to work at their amazing school.

The pay rate for this position is a daily rate of between GBP100 and GBP140 dependant on experience and subject to referencing.

The successful candidate will:

  • You are a qualified teacher with QTS or comparable overseas qualification
  • You have previous experience teaching in secondary schools or relevant transferable skills
  • You are able to travel to Winchester and surrounding areas
  • You are flexible and positive and happy to meet and work with new people and experience new positions and challenges

The school are also happy to consider experienced cover supervisors, relevant graduates who are looking to train to teach in the future and unqualified or overseas trained teachers who are available!
