About the Role

Due to exceptionally high demand from our partner secondary schools, we are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across Plymouth and surrounding areas.

Whether you're an experienced teacher, recently qualified, or looking for greater flexibility, this role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

We are looking for teachers from all subject specialisms who can confidently deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain positive classroom environments, and support students in achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Ensure students remain engaged and on task.
• Provide a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Adapt to different school settings and year groups.
• Complete basic marking and feedback where required.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

Desirable Experience

• Experience teaching GCSE classes.
• Subject specialism in:
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Humanities
  • Modern Foreign Languages
  • PE
  • Technology
  • Performing Arts
• Previous supply teaching experience.
• Experience working across multiple schools and settings.
