Salary: £160 – £230 per day (DOE)

About the Role:

You’ll be teaching students aged 11–18 with a range of special educational needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

• Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

• SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs)

• Communication and complex needs

Your role is to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that match pupils’ individual learning plans (EHCPs), while fostering emotional well-being, confidence, and life skills. You’ll work in collaboration with a wider support team—including SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and families—to ensure every learner gets the holistic support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver creative, targeted lessons aligned to SEN student profiles

• Adapt teaching to suit a wide range of abilities and needs

• Foster a calm, inclusive classroom that promotes learning and positive behaviour

• Support students' academic, social, and emotional progress

• Contribute to assessment, reviews, and EHCP feedback

• Liaise closely with pastoral staff and parents/carers

Who We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) – Essential

• SEN teaching experience OR strong mainstream experience with SEN exposure

• In-depth knowledge of inclusive strategies and behaviour support

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with students

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
