Are you able to connect with young people who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties?

Can you bring out the best in boys who struggle to get involved with school?

Our client school is looking for a Secondary trained teacher to teach cross curriculum on a casual basis. The school often have staff members out of school for training purposes and therefore flexibility is essential.

The school caters for secondary aged students. The needs of the students include SEMH and challenging behaviour, autism (ASD) and related challenging behaviour, and mental health difficulties. The school also boasts vocational training provision for 14-18 year olds.

  • Full time and part time roles available (Monday to Friday, term time only)
  • Working hours are 8am - 3:00pm
  • You will be working with students who have SEMH/behavioural difficulties and must be confident in managing challenging behaviour
  • There are opportunities for long term positions within the school, and (assuming you are working successfully) the school will invite you to apply for a permanent role later in the academic year
  • Team Teach, Approach or any other form of restraint/physical intervention/de-escalation training is highly desirable
