Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking a Maths Teacher full-time from September. This is an OFSTED rated ‘Outstanding’ school where staff work collaboratively to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This is a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their career in a mainstream Secondary school or an experienced Teacher looking for a new and exciting role.

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love of Maths. You will follow the national curriculum whilst incorporating the schools values/mission. Additionally, you will adapt lesson plans and materials to ensure the curriculum is accessible to all learning needs, working with Teaching Assistants to create and implement individualised learning plans when necessary.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS in Secondary Maths or equivalent
  • Experience teaching at both KS3 and GCSE level (teaching placements included)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of current teaching techniques and behaviour management
  • A genuine passion for the development of young students
  • Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment, fostering a love of maths

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
