Key Responsibilities:

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Maths lessons (KS3 & KS4, possibly KS5)

  • Adapting teaching methods to meet varied student needs

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assessing and tracking student progress

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams

  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people


✅ What You’ll Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Strong communication and adaptability

  • An enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Full compliance with Teaching Personnel's vetting procedures (references, ID checks, safeguarding checks, etc.)


Desirable:

  • Fluency in Welsh ️

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

  • Experience in Welsh-medium schools or knowledge of the Welsh curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
