School expansion opportunity

Portsmouth based Academy

Full time

Teaching Personnel are working closely with an Academy school based in Portsmouth who are part of a large trust nationwide. The school have been unsuccessful in appointing a Maths Teacher and so are looking to recruit again for the role, ready to begin in November or January.

This post has been created due to curriculum changes across the MAT opening up opportunities for core subject staff as a real focus within its recruitment. Whilst the school achieved and excelled on its results in comparison to previous years, the Academy Trust is further pursuing excellence in increasing its results across STEM subjects and English to promote pupils to develop a keen interest in how these subjects can be accessed in the pupils future careers after education. You must demonstrate a passion for the subject through the delivery of high quality and creative lessons. A strong commitment to achievement for all is a must. This post will require the ability to teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 with the possibility of post 16 teaching for the right candidate. Applications are welcomed from experienced staff and NQTs, with full induction support available.

Requirements for applicants:

* Have QTS or a PGCE (NQTs welcome)

* Able to start in November 2019 or January 2020

* Experience teaching: GCSE Maths, Functional skills and Entry Level 1 & 2

* Innovative and creative teachers with a focus upon pupil enrichment
