Secondary English Teacher – Stockport – Full-Time – September Start

Are you an enthusiastic English teacher looking for a fresh start in September?

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a secondary school in Stockport in their search for a dedicated and imaginative English Teacher to join the English department on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

The school promotes creativity, independent learning, and academic excellence. You will join a supportive and experienced team committed to raising attainment and providing engaging lessons.

Role Overview:

  • Delivering English lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils (GCSE experience essential)

  • Full teaching responsibilities: planning, marking, assessments, and attending departmental meetings

  • Working within a well-established English department with a focus on high-quality, differentiated teaching

  • Supporting students of all abilities to progress and achieve

Candidate Requirements:

  • QTS in English or a relevant subject

  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools

  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for literature and language

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
