A school based in Derby, that caters for students with Hearing Impairments are looking for an Education Assistant, from January for their Secondary department.
The role has a specific focus on supporting teaching and learning through use of a positive range of options and strategies to effect behaviour change for individual and small groups of learners. British Sign Language Level 2 (or native user) and an appropriate underpinning qualification in supporting teaching and learning for the children’s workforce are highly desirable though opportunities for training are available through the School.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Level 2 Qualification in BSL Level 2 or above
- Experience working with students of all ages, both Primary and Secondary
- Prior experience within the Education sector
- Previous experience working with students with SEN
