Science Tutor
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Science Tutor to join our team and work with students in alternative provisions across Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to make a positive impact on the learning journeys of students who may not thrive in traditional school environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and tailored Science lessons to students with diverse needs and abilities.

Support students in developing their knowledge and understanding of key scientific concepts.

Adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have a strong background in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) and experience delivering Science education at various levels.

Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students who may face challenges in their education.

Be adaptable and able to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent experience.
-
Experience working in alternative provision or with students with SEMH/SEN is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
