Science Technician – Secondary School (Derbyshire)
Salary: £9,820 – £10,767 per annum (Part-Time)
Start Date: November 2025
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join the Science Department at one of our partner secondary schools in Derbyshire. This part-time role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in science and a strong attention to detail, supporting both staff and students in delivering engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and chemicals for science lessons

Ensure the safe storage, maintenance, and disposal of laboratory materials
-
Support teachers during practical sessions when required

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in the labs
-
Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures
Who We’re Looking For:
-
Previous experience as a Science Technician (or similar lab-based role) preferred
-
Strong organisational and time-management skills
-
A good understanding of laboratory health and safety practices
-
Team player with a proactive and reliable approach
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
