Science Technician – Secondary School (Derbyshire)

Salary: £9,820 – £10,767 per annum (Part-Time)
Start Date: November 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join the Science Department at one of our partner secondary schools in Derbyshire. This part-time role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in science and a strong attention to detail, supporting both staff and students in delivering engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and chemicals for science lessons

• Ensure the safe storage, maintenance, and disposal of laboratory materials

• Support teachers during practical sessions when required

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in the labs

• Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures

‍ Who We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Science Technician (or similar lab-based role) preferred

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• A good understanding of laboratory health and safety practices

• Team player with a proactive and reliable approach

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
