Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Science Teaching Assistant on behalf of a client secondary school located in Manchester.

As a Science Teaching Assistant within this school you will hold a key role in supporting the learning of pupils aged 14-16 to positively influence their attainment in Science. Applicants are required to hold a degree in Science or alternatively have previous experience providing Science tuition to secondary aged pupils.

  • Full time Science Teaching Assistant post - September 2019
  • Supporting pupils aged 14-16 across all areas of Science
  • Providing tuition as well as in class support to students
  • Pay of ÂŁ1200 - ÂŁ1400 per month dependant on experience

This school have a need for a teaching assistant who holds specific Science knowledge and can provide tailored tuition to pupils studying Science at GCSE level. This Science teaching assistant role will involve providing 1:1 and small group Science tuition to pupils studying Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

The incoming Science teaching assistant will be required to have;

  • A degree related to Science studies
  • Previous experience working within secondary education/tuition experience
  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils and have a positive impact on their learning
  • Be passionate about pursuing a career within secondary education

This school located on the border of Manchester and Trafford is average in size with around 900 pupils on roll. The Science department is made up of 5 other members of teaching staff and 1 other subject specific teaching assistant who also provides support pupils within a similar capacity. Located on the border of Manchester and Traffod the school is easily accessible via the M60 or via public transport links from the city centre.
