Science teacher (Northamptonshire South)

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a secondary school in Northamptonshire who are seeking a teacher of Science to start as soon as possible. The school were rated "Good" by OFSTED in their most recent inspection and are based across two sites in a rural location. The division across two sites is perceived as advantageous by senior leadership, who claim this allows them to provide a broad and balanced curriculum with many options for KS4 students. As part of a trust which aims to provide outstanding learning experiences which lead to successful outcomes, the school have a dedicated science faculty which the successful candidate will work alongside. The school are looking to appoint someone who has the necessary skills and passion to engage with students and encourage excitement about the subject. The school are ambitious and well managed with an inspiring learning environment for both students and staff. The role includes planning lessons for KS3/KS4 pupils and the pay rate will fall between £130 and £160 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Have experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Be passionate about the subject with extensive knowledge of the curriculum
  • Be able to prepare and deliver dynamic lessons which cater to a variety of learning styles/abilities
  • Have strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills
  • Drive progress within the department
