Job description

At this school, students study the new style AQA GCSE syllabus. Unlike other schools, the school offers a high end resources to enhance the curriculum offering to KS3 and KS4 pupils. The department has 11 full time teachers, a part time teacher and support from a specialist cover supervisor. Each teacher has their own classroom and teach both the KS3 and KS4 curriculums.

The schools vision is to provide a world class, all inclusive education for all of their students. The ideal candidate will:

  • Offer an all inclusive education to every student
  • Work collaboratively with their colleagues, sharing resources, best practice and contribute towards inset days
  • Be able to contribute positively to the department, and consistently strive for excellence
  • Promote a love for learning. At this school learning has no boundaries within and beyond the classroom.
  • Be able to demonstrate good classroom management stills and teach lessons that are captivating and inspiring
  • Have UK QTS and a degree in a related subject
  • Have experience delivering the Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) curriculum at KS3 and KS4

The school has capacity to support an enthusiastic NQT or someone who is more experienced and ambitious to progress in their career. The school is expanding and therefore opportunities for TLR may arise in the near future.
