Science Teacher

We are currently seeking a Science Teacher to start work in September on a full time basis at on of our local schools in Frome.

The schools offers high-quality person-centred education for children and young people from the age of 8 – 18 years who have SEMH, and complex needs, including learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. 

The successful candidate must:

• have QTS or a similar qualification
• be a Science specialist
• have knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics 
• be enthusiastic and positive
• be resilient
• be confident working with students with SEMH/challenging behaviour

To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:

• have experience teaching in a school setting 
• have experience working with children and/or adults with SEMH
• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a science teacher
• Be willing to cover other subjects if and when required 
• Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing

This is a temporary long term role however, it is likely to lead into permanent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
