Job description

Currently recruiting for a Science Teacher for a position to start in January 2020. This is a full time job in a good school in Scarborough for a Qualified Teacher of Science, or a Newly Qualified Teacher of Science. Are you looking for full time employment from January 2020 in Scarborough? This could be the role for you!

Due to an internal promotion, our partner Secondary School located in Scarborough is looking for a Teacher of Science who can deliver the three sciences up to GCSE in the new academic year. This is a full-time position to start in January 2020, initially on a supply basis but with the view of a permanent offer to be made to the right candidate.

You will be joining an established, forward-thinking department which is very supportive of colleagues and put the students' education at the centre of their work. The School was judged "good" by Ofsted in 2012 and in 2018 celebrated sustained results.

The rates of pay will depend on your experience and will be negotiated with the school on your behalf. You can expect your pay to be in line with the national teaching pay scale (MPS, UPS).
