Science Teacher required – Middlesbrough

• Full-time role starting after February half-term
• MPS/UPS pay scale

When this school was formed, the leadership team understood that every child learns differently and developed a methodology to help children to catch up and keep up in the core area of Science. Now, more than 20 years and a recent renovation later, the school continues to teach secondary school students in and around Middlesbrough, helping them to fulfil their potential. They are now seeking a new Science Teacher who shares their vision and is able to inspire their students to reach the high levels of attainment.

The successful Science Teacher must have;

• A track record of working as a Science Teacher within the curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
• An excellent knowledge and understanding of the value of using progress data on pupil performance to inform teaching and learning will be integral to driving student performance and attainment, along with delivering effective outcomes for all.
• Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management (especially when students are undergoing a practical task) and committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfil their potential.
• Be able to demonstrate a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
