Due to a gap in our client's Science department, there is an urgent need for a qualified Science teacher with previous experience teaching BTEC Level 3 Science or similar, to join them for the duration of this academic year.

- Judged to be 'Outstanding' in most recent Ofsted inspections

- Supportive management and experienced department for incoming member of staff

- Easily accessible via a number of public transport links from Manchester and surrounding areas

Situated a short distance from the centre of Rochdale, our client is a well established college which was most recently judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and topped the chart for A Level progress across the UK. The college offer full and part time courses for the vast number of students currently enrolled. Since the appointment of the new Principal in recent years, the standards of teaching and learning have encouraged pupil progress and attainment across A Level and BTEC courses. The effective leadership across SLT and middle management have ensured a collaborative approach to teaching and learning, which has proved instrumental in recent successes.

"We have an immediate need for a qualified Science teacher to join us on a temporary basis, teaching our students BTEC Science Level 3, initially the first term though there is a possibility for this to continue on to a contracted post. The ideal Science teacher will have previous experience delivering BTEC Science in a college setting, though those who have delivered AS/A2 curriculums will also be considered"

To be considered for this post, all applicants must have completed a PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Science and have experienced delivering Science at Post-16. The college are looking for applicants to be committed to a longer term post within a college setting.
