Science teacher required from January 2020.

Are you a dedicated teacher seeking a new role in the New Year? Do you have a passion for raising attainment and improving the outcomes of pupils across the Science department?

If so, our partner school in Wigan have an open position for a Science teacher of any specialism to join them in the New Year on an initial full-time temporary basis. The successful Science of teacher will have the opportunity to work in an Ofsted ‘Good’ graded secondary school that is committed to ‘Outstanding’ levers of education and currently have a permanent position to work towards.

  • Full-time Science teacher required from January 2020.
  • Pay in line with teaching experience and MPS/UPS scale points.
  • Located in Wigan , accessible via public transportation links
  • Planning, delivering and assessing lessons to pupils across KS3 and GCSE.
  • Working in a supportive Science department with the purpose of raising attainment

This secondary school that is seeking to appoint a Science teacher has a large intake of students and currently caters for just over a 1000 pupils, the majority of which are from a white British Heritage. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is below the national average and the proportion of disadvantaged pupils is also well below the national average.

The successful teacher of Science will ideally have experience teaching in a range of secondary schools, and possess good subject knowledge and the ability to teach multiple areas of Science at GCSE level. The position is set to commence in the New Year, and their will be a definite opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.
