Science Teacher – Secondary Schools (Brixton & Wandsworth)
Location: Brixton and Wandsworth
Contract: Full-time / Long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Pay: In line with teacher pay scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with two welcoming and high-achieving secondary schools in Brixton and Wandsworth, both seeking a passionate and motivated Science Teacher to join their teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Applications are welcome from teachers wishing to be considered for one or both schools.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.

Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental improvement.

Create a positive learning environment that supports achievement and curiosity.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3–KS4).

Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education.
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel).

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
