Science Teacher

An excellent opportunity has arisen at a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Weymouth, who are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time role, offering the chance to make a real impact on students’ learning and development across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons that inspire students and foster a love for the subject. They will be confident in teaching across the science disciplines and have a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, ensuring all learners are supported to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Planning, preparing, and assessing students’ work to monitor progress and attainment.

• Supporting the wider school community and contributing to extracurricular activities where appropriate.

• Upholding the school’s values and working effectively as part of a team.

The school is seeking a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.

• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.

• Is enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to raising attainment.

• Has the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
