Science Teacher
Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Weymouth, who are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time role, offering the chance to make a real impact on students’ learning and development across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons that inspire students and foster a love for the subject. They will be confident in teaching across the science disciplines and have a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, ensuring all learners are supported to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Planning, preparing, and assessing students’ work to monitor progress and attainment.

Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning.

Supporting the wider school community and contributing to extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Upholding the school’s values and working effectively as part of a team.
The school is seeking a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.

Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.

Is enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to raising attainment.

Has the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
