Science Teacher – Secondary School – Manchester (September Start)

Teaching Personnel is working with a high-performing secondary school in Manchester to recruit a committed and engaging Science Teacher for a full-time position beginning in September 2025. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an enthusiastic ECT, this role offers a supportive environment and strong departmental leadership.

Main Duties:

• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Science to mixed-ability classes

• Delivering lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (flexibility based on specialism)

• Preparing students for GCSE exams and tracking pupil progress

• Contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and department initiatives

• Managing behaviour in line with school policy and building strong relationships with students

• Participating in CPD, parents' evenings, and collaborative planning

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Specialism in Science; all disciplines considered

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Demonstrates passion for inclusive, student-centred education

• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)

Position Details:

• Full-time, long-term role from September 2025

• Potential for permanent school contract

• Pay via Teaching Personnel: £140 to £210 per day, depending on experience and scale

• Paid weekly via PAYE

• Access to CPD and support from a specialist consultant throughout the assignment
