Science Teacher – Secondary School – Full-Time – September 2025 – Manchester

Location:Manchester (central area)
Start Date:September 2025
Contract Type:Full-time, permanent
Salary:MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in central Manchester is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacherto join their dedicated department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs)and experienced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, following the national curriculum.

  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.

  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular STEM initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • UK recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

  • Ability to engage students of all abilities and adapt teaching accordingly.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a proactive, reflective teaching style.

  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and departmental development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
