Teacher of Science: BB9 Area, Lancashire
Start Date: After October Half-Term 2025
Contract: Full-time (Maternity Cover / Fixed Term)
Salary: MPS/UPS – Dependent on experience
Ofsted: Graded Good
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our thriving secondary school in the BB9 area of Lancashire. Our school, rated Good by Ofsted, is proud of its strong community ethos, excellent behaviour, and commitment to high standards in both academic achievement and personal development.
The Role:
You will join a passionate Science Department that delivers engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4. We are looking for someone who can inspire students, foster a love for scientific enquiry, and contribute to our collaborative team culture. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across all three sciences at KS3, and at least one science specialism to GCSE.

We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a passion for Science
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for all students
- The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
