Science Teacher – Secondary School (Bournemouth, Dorset)
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS) | Fixed-Term or Permanent Opportunity

An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Bournemouth, Dorset is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive department in a school that values curiosity, achievement, and student wellbeing.

The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers and ECTs, with full support provided for induction and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan and assess in line with national curriculum standards

  • Foster a love of learning and scientific enquiry in all students

  • Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring inclusive learning for all

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science department and wider school

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more Science specialisms

  • Effective classroom management and a proactive teaching approach

  • Positive, reflective, and committed to student progress

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
