Boost Exam Confidence – Become a 1:1 GCSE Science Tutor (Start ASAP!)

Are you passionate about Science and want to help students succeed in their upcoming GCSEs? Looking for a flexible, rewarding role where you can make a real impact?

At TP Tutors, we’re seeking dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Science tutors to support secondary pupils in the run-up to their GCSE exams. With students needing that extra boost in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, your knowledge could be the difference between a pass and a top grade.

Whether you’re a qualified teacher, experienced tutor or STEM graduate with teaching experience, this is a fantastic chance to help learners achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering tailored 1:1 sessions in GCSE Science – Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science
• Supporting students to understand key topics, improve exam technique and close knowledge gaps
• Working face-to-face in the student’s home, a care setting, or a community location like a library
• Building confidence and helping students develop independent study skills
• Tracking progress and adapting lesson plans to suit individual needs
• Keeping students motivated and exam-ready through engaging, structured lessons

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong subject knowledge in Science at GCSE level
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring KS4 Science
• A positive, encouraging teaching style that builds confidence
• Ability to adapt your approach to different learning styles and abilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Requirements:

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we’ll support you)
• The right to work in the UK
• A commitment to safeguarding and high-quality education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
