Science/ STEM Teacher (KS3) - Harrow

Are you an experienced Science Teacher with QTS, PGCE or NQT?

Do you have what it takes to adapt and learn new skills in a rewarding environment as part of a supportive team working hard to teach and support vulnerable children?

Have you ever thought about teaching in an alternative learning provision, pupil referral unit or behaviour unit in Harrow?

If you are available to teach KS3/KS4 Science Monday to Friday during school term time (8:30 -4:00) with an interest in gaining permanent work and have experience teaching Science in a UK school send your CV today!

Having confidence or experience in at least 2 of the following bullet points is a added bonus:

  • Outgoing and fun personality
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Special education experience (autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or mental health
  • Youth/Community work experience
  • Planning and setting targets based on Education Health Care Plans (EHCP)
  • Science Secondary Teaching experience specific to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Sports coaching background with children/young adults
  • Pro active and hard working
  • Team Teach, MAPA, breakaway or de-escalation/restraint training
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Teaching NEET's, Looked After Children (LAC) or those in foster care
  • Mentoring

This school based in Harrow Weald is looking for confident science teachers who are passionate about making a real difference ! The role is to start either immediately or in the September term 2019 with an interest in offering a permanent contract based on individual merit.

The school will be seeing successful applicants for trial days and interviews within June and July 2019.
