School Exams Officer

Join a large secondary school in Tameside seeking to appoint a school exams officer on a fixed term temporary basis from November until the end of the academic year. (July 2021)

This is a full-time role 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an exams officer or administration role and will ideally have experience working with educational systems such as SIMS.

Main responsibilities of this role will:

  • Manage the administration of all external and internal examinations.
  • Prepare examination data for analysis as required.
  • Review, update and implement the Exam Policy.
  • Manage the budgets allocated to exams in relation to all exam fees and associated costs
  • Work closely with the SENCO to ensure access arrangements are applied for on time and are in place prior to the exam series.
  • Ensure the school website has up to date information relating to exams.

This secondary school situated in the borough of Tameside. Due its location, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Stockport and the Peak District. The school offers excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be good in all areas including quality of teaching, behaviour of pupils and leadership and management.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
