Teaching Assistant required in Scarborough for a Specialist Teaching Assistant position at an Ofsted graded Good School

Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN School based in Scarborough. This is a great opportunity to work for a well recognised School that value children as individuals and uphold a friendly and nurturing environment.

The Job Role:

• Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage students; in-line with the Primary National Curriculum
• Encouraging and developing the student's confidence and independence
• Liaising with teachers and support staff to develop education plans
• Age range between 2 and 16 years old
• 0830 - 1530

Ideal candidate requirements:

• Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs such as Autism, Behavioural Needs and Speech, Language and Communication Needs
• Knowledge or experience using PECs and/or Makaton
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
• The right attitude towards teaching and learning within Special Educational Needs
