Respite/Residential Carer - Uxbridge

Are you a respite or residential carer?

Are you local to Hillingdon and looking for a role where you can develop professionally and personally while supporting young adults with complex learning and social needs?

As a specialist carer you'll provide and support young adults 1:1 and in small groups with their learning and care in a range of settings both within a college and throughout the community.

Based within walking distance from Uxbridge Town Centre in Hillingdon the college provides learning, social and work opportunities for young adults with a range of complex needs including mental health, autism, medical and severe learning difficulties.

All staff within the school is required to support students with personal care and moving and handling. Some students will display behaviours that may challenge so being confident in behaviour management or open to training in Team Teach and behaviour management is vital.

This is one of the reasons that the college are keen on respite or residential carer based on experience and understanding of how to support these needs. However, if you are keen and interested in working with young adults you are welcome to apply.
