Residential Support Worker - Autism, PMLD, Personal Care

Must hold a Full UK Driving License and have own transport.

Your new company Teaching Personnel are currently working with a unique Residential School near Thetford. Based in either residential or supported living services, the school provide support for children with Autism, PMLD, SEMH and complex needs. Individuals with complex and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, mental health illness and autism.

Your new role as a Support Worker will involve assisting vulnerable children with personal and practical care, medications, daily activities, trips out, socialising, accessing the community, and leading a more fulfilled and independent life.

At present, shifts are as follows:

  • 8am – 9.30pm (Days)
  • 3pm – 9.30pm (Evenings)
  • 15pm – 9am (Waking Nights)

Ideal, but not essential

  • Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care
  • Level 2 or 3 Childcare
  • Care Certificate
  • Experience working within a social care setting i.e. Residential Home, Supported Living, Home Care (Domiciliary Care).
