Residential Support Worker/Learning Support Assistant - Swanley - Full Time

A unique special needs school in Swanley is looking for a new member of support staff to work partly as a teaching assistant and partly as a residential support worker.

This role is one of a kind and will give you a variety of tasks to perform, keeping the job interesting and fun. During the day, you will support students in class with their lessons as a TA, however at the end of the school day you will support those students who stay in the residential provision.

The hours for each day are as follows:

Monday 12-7pm

Tuesday 12-8pm

Wednesday 12-7pm

Thursday 12-7pm

Friday 11am-3:30pm

The school are looking for someone who is committed to the development of children with special needs. Ideally you will have experience of supporting children with autism, or those with other communication difficulties. However the school is also interested in interviewing candidates who may not have experience, but have a 'get stuck in' attitude and are willing to learn and develop quickly.

This is a large school and has an extremely supportive staff team. You will be warmly welcomed and supported by your colleagues. The school has extensive grounds and a forest school, sensory circuits, horse riding, a steel band and several outdoor learning/play spaces.

If you perform successfully as an agency worker, the school will invite you to apply for a permanent position with them, and Teaching Personnel will support you if you decide to apply.

Send your CV to Teaching Personnel to show your interest in this job today.
